Our mission is to build capacity for quality early childhood education (ECE) programs by sharing knowledge about effective ECE programs and practices in support of child and family outcomes (see graphic), improving outreach and communication, and informing ECE policy and grantmaking. Family and community engagement is critical in a child's development, school readiness, and success in school and life. Drawing from a body of research built over decades, we promote a systemic approach to family and community engagement in the earliest years of life.
