I wanted to have a new experience and didn't think  staying in Southern California would give me what I wanted. My mom went to  college in the Midwest and my father went to college in the Northeast. They  both studied abroad too. They showed me the importance of trying new things and  seeing new places, so I try to convey that to the prospective students that I  meet.
