HFRP’s Family Involvement Research Digests distill findings from published studies—written by others in the family involvement field—into easily readable form. In Family Computing and the Academic Engagement and Achievement of Low-Income, Urban Adolescents, Kallen Tsikalas and Christine Newkirk from Computers for Youth addresses middle school students’ home computing and its relation to family involvement in learning, academic engagement, and math achievement.
