Education News covered the recent release of Afterschool Evaluation 101: How to Evaluate an Expanded Learning Program, a new tool from Harvard Family Research Project. Designed to help out-of-school time program directors with little or no evaluation experience to develop an evaluation strategy, Afterschool Evaluation 101 can help programs identify ways to improve and serve funders' reporting requirements.

Afterschool Evaluation 101 offers a step-by-step guide through each of the stages of the evaluation process, from identifying resources available for evaluation, to selecting the design and data collection methods that are best suited to an individual program, to making use of the data collected and analyzed in a process of continuous learning and improvement.
