The Quality of School-Age Child Care in After-School Settings offers an overview of the features of high-quality after school settings.
Working in partnership with the Florida Afterschool Network, Bright House Networks and the Florida Cable Association, the Afterschool Alliance has produced a 30-minute cable television program to educate viewers about the benefits of after school programs and what is happening in programs around the country and in Florida.
The program premiered as part of National Lights On Afterschool Day! on October 16 statewide in Florida on the Sun Sports Network.
The program features Harvard Family Research Project's Priscilla Little, who discusses the Afterschool Alliance's success in communicating the importance of quality out-of-school time programming.
Excerpt from the video:
Priscilla Little: "I have been really impressed with what the Afterschool Alliance has done since its inception in terms of promoting after school program quality. The Afterschool Alliance has done a very good job at getting the word out and getting people to pay attention."
