This study examines the advantages and disadvantages of school-based family support and community education programs. The paper analyzes the contexts that engender successful outcomes in community-based educational programs that are situated in school settings.

About This Series
This series profiles family support and education programs across the United States. In an effort to make information about family support and education policy available in a timely fashion, Harvard Family Research Project has synthesized its ongoing research on state-level policy into a series of booklets whose convenient format highlights the significant features of each initiative and presents the reflections of a state-level contact on the lessons that the state has learned.
