How do early childhood programs share child assessments with families? How can education data serve as a platform for meaningful parent-teacher conversation? Heather Schrotberger and Beth Nichols, from Project EAGLE, and Lora Gonzalez, from WestEd, explore these and related questions in an informative 60-minute web chat on June 11, 2013, Sharing Data With Families During the Early Childhood Years.

Tips from the web chat include:

  • Make data sharing an ongoing activity rather than one that happens only at specific times during the school year.
  • Use child assessments, portfolios, and other data to offer parents a deeper understanding of their children’s progress.
  • Share activities with families to advance their children’s learning at home, at school, and in the community.

You can access the archive of this web chat at any time. And, to stay informed of future HFRP Interact events, sign up for our mailing list.
